A quick update (for those who are following this trip from a distance…) Because of the difficulties that Shelagh has had conversing with me on occasions, we were really pleased when she made a new friend.. Max. Max does not read newspapers, watch the news or have temporary moments of absence. For those of you who were wondering, yes, he is a Mere Cat. (Don’t ask) Be sure to watch out for Max in later updates. Below are a few shots of Max at a local Restaurant. I have included them so that you will be able to spot him on our travels…
Max taking centre stage (er table) at the River Café…
…and looking adoringly at his new friend…
…and enjoying a fresh juice.
Along with a chocolate sweetie.
And in the shelter on the pier at Glenelg beach in the freezing cold! (It’s not a typo… it’s the correct spelling.)
Pray for us.. I think that we may just be loosing it!

Hi Guys including Max
Glad to see that you are having a fantastic time- you certainly deserve it. We miss you both very much but technology is great that we can keep in touch with what you are up to! As long as you continue to tell us that is!!
Your encouraging words about what God is showing you blesses us even though you are not here to deliver them personally.
As ever we think you’re the best pastor & wife(have not got to know Max well enough yet to pass comment on him!) in the world.
Love you lots. Continue to have a great time.

It was so nice to read what you’re up to and to feel ‘connected’ across the miles.
I was very touched about what you said Mike about adornment and inner beauty. Missed the Pearl conference as clashed with taking Fran back to Manchester but know that I should have gone. Tell Shelagh that I’m now beginning the hard work – she’ll know what I mean.
Lots of love and miss you both so much. Keep the blogs coming.

Hi Guys
Glad you are still having a good time. Also pleased to hear that we are to meet Max. We will book him on a basic food hygiene course so that he will start his work in the Source but please let us know if he has other giftings as there are other vacancies available for him. Can add him to rota for November. It must be comforting to know that your congregation(well some of us!) are as nutty as you.
Seriously continue to enjoy your time together & keep relaxing! Thanks also for taking time out to keep us posted.
Love Jon & Maureen xxxx
